October is National Bullying Prevention Month

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Nearly one-third of all school-aged children are bullied each year with devastating effects such as school avoidance, loss of self-esteem, increased anxiety, and depression. Studies show that children with disabilities are two to three times more likely to be bullied than their non-disabled peers. (Source: PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center).
